Maeve Abyss is a poet and performer blending lyricism and activism. After three years in Romania fronting an improvisational jazz band, she moved to Ireland in 2023 where she co-founded the poetry collective Story Riot. Her work explores identity, digital discourse and feminist themes. A trained improviser , Maeve has led workshops across Ireland and the US and has performed at leading Irish art festivals. When not hosting poetry events, she is working on her debut poetry collection entitled ‘U Up?’ and her novel ‘Veronica’.
